Historic memorabilia & romance! What a day on the blog!

Know what's fun about owning historic properties? Finding historic memorabilia tucked away in the nooks and crannies. Exhibit A: a vintage campaign button for one L.C.A. Roessler, apparently running for County Clerk. Circa early 1900s as far as we can gather and google. Where was it, you ask? Oh, just stuck in the window jam at The William Aiken House sales office. Swear!

Theories abound as to how the button got in there. Was there a heated button throwing war amongst the campaign team? Did someone deem the window jam as a makeshift "time capsule?" Did they run out of window sealant and think, heck, we'll just use the leftover campaign buttons! 1900s recycling!

In other news, I thought I'd take a quick moment to remind you that Valentine's Day is approaching, and we put together a couple of uber-romantic Staycation packages with just you in mind.
